Labor backbenchers call for an increase to JobSeeker ahead of federal budget

As the rising cost of living continues to impact vulnerable people in the community, the government is under increasing pressure to raise JobSeeker. Four Labor MPs have joined welfare and community groups to call on the Prime Minister to increase the welfare payment. With less than two weeks until the Federal Budget, the Prime Minister and Treasurer are making no commitments.
