Labor tax cuts throws budget into years of deficit

Labor has moved swiftly to put its new budget tax cut to the test, passing it through the House of Representatives within hours of the surprise announcement. It was the centrepiece of the election eve budget, adding to billions in spending as the budget sinks into a decade in deficit.
