Lower house passes Tasmanian salmon farming bill amid environmental protests

A bill to assure the continuation of salmon farming on Tasmania's West Coast has passed the lower house of parliament with the support of the coalition. Tasmanian-based opponents of the industry in Canberra today to make a final pitch to politicians not to pass the changes to federal environment laws.
