Melbourne Cup crowd swells amid protests

A crowd of more than 80,000 has flocked to Flemington for the 163rd running of the Melbourne Cup with a visiting overseas horse taking home the big prize. The usual sparkling array of fashion was on display while outside, police made several arrests as protesters took to the streets.
