More households in rental stress despite growth rate slowing

The pace of rental growth is now at its slowest since 2021, according to a new report, but it's still rising. Corelogic says households earning a median combined annual income of around $101, 000 are spending on average 33% of their pre-tax earnings on rent. Anything over 30% signifies rental stress. That's the most for that group since the research began in 2006.
