Mother given Australia's first sentence for ordering forced marriage

A Victorian woman will spend at least a year behind bars for forcing her daughter to marry a man, who later killed her after they were married. The landmark sentence is Australia's first for a person convicted of causing someone to enter a forced marriage. The case has placed a spotlight on what police believe is an under-reported issue, hidden behind closed doors.
