Published
New research has found that cancer prevention campaigns in Australia have saved nearly a quarter of a million lives since the 1950's. The study led by Cancer Council Victoria and the University of Melbourne compared the number of cancer deaths with the predicted number of deaths, if no major cancer control measures had been introduced. The research has also confirmed some forms of cancer are on the rise.
