Nearly a decade ago, posters began popping up in cities around the country with a striking image of a Muslim cameleer with the caption “Aussie”. The artist aimed to start a conversation about what it means to be Australian at a time when racial division was rife. His message is still relevant today - dividing opinions and touching the lives of many, including politicians.
