Oñate statue dismantled after an eyewitness video shared online the moment an armed civilian militia protected a man who allegedly shot at protesters with a handgun in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Albuquerque police arrested Steven Ray Baca, a former city council candidate, and charged him with shooting and critically injuring a protester seeking the removal of a statue of a Spanish conquistador.
