New report reveals rising rate of food insecurity among Australian households

A new report by Foodbank has revealed up to 20 per cent of households in Australia are skipping meals or going days without eating. The 2025 Hunger Report suggests overall one in three households faced food insecurity over the last year largely due to rising costs. A group of independent MP's say a tax incentive for farmers to donate excess goods could help solve the problem.
