Northern Territory Mayor takes remote community’s concerns to Canberra

One of the country's most remote local councils has taken its concerns about the disadvantage of its residents to federal parliament. The Barkly Shire Council takes in a massive region around Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory within the marginal federal electorate of Lingiari, which is being closely watched ahead of the election.
