Only one of 19 Closing the Gap targets has been met

Australia is now past the halfway point towards the deadline for Closing the Gap in outcomes between Indigenous people and the wider community. But new data has revealed most of the key targets remain off track, with several going backwards. Out of 19 targets, just one has been met and three more are on track. Most targets are due in 2031, and advocates are calling on governments to redouble their efforts to meet the deadline. NITV'S Mikele Syron breaks down the figures.
