Optus data breach investigation launched by government

A formal investigation into the Optus data breach has been launched, which will examine the way in which the telecommunications company handled customers' personal information. The probe commences as consumer watchdog ACCC calls for a 'national scam centre' to be established. It says the threat of financial fraud in Australia is surging year on year.
