The Northern Territory's anti-discrimination commissioner has warned that not providing appropriate care for gender diverse people in prison may be illegal. Northern Territory Chief Minister Lia Finocchiaro says she will ban transgender women from serving sentences in women's prisons. In letters shared with SBS News, transwomen being held in male prisons say they fear for their safety.
