Australia has committed to helping Solomon Islands double its police force. The Solomon Islands' new Prime Minister has come to Canberra on his first overseas trip since taking up the role last month. But the next stop on this tour will be Beijing, in a move that underscores the continued power play taking place over influence in the Pacific.
