Perth Invasion Day rally attack investigated as ‘potential terrorist act’

A Counter Terrorism Team, including the AFP, ASIO, and Western Australia Police, has confirmed it is now investigating Monday's Invasion Day rally attack in Perth as a 'potential terrorist act'. A 31-year-old man has already been charged over the incident, but terrorism charges are possible as federal and state agencies investigate whether the attack was driven by a specific religious, political or ideological motivation.
