The prime minister is on an unofficial hustings, and is making a pre-election blitz of Queensland, the Northern Territory and WA. Anthony Albanese started the day with a $7.2 billion pledge for safety upgrades along the Bruce Highway in Queensland, as he tries to shake off poor pre-Christmas polling.
