After two years of energy price pain, the market regulator has backed a reduction in retail costs of up to 7% for most households, and nearly 10% for businesses across Australia's eastern states. The AEMO's draft offer is welcome news - not only for households and businesses, but the government, too, after promising it would reduce electricity bills.
