Protesters have targeted a Cairns regional sitting of Queensland's parliament over what they say is an out of control crime rate in the far north. It is a claim rejected by local police. Last weekend, a vigilante protest was held in Rockhampton. It has prompted the Premier and Police Commissioner to warn people against taking the law into their own hands.
