Psychiatrist withdraws claim on Joel Cauchi's motive at Bondi inquest

The psychiatrist who treated Bondi Westfield attacker Joel Cauchi has faced further questioning, as the NSW Coroner's Court seeks to determine whether failings in Cauchi's mental health care led to him fatally stabbing six people and injuring 10 others in April 2024. Today she withdrew her opinion about the motive behind his attack, which contradicted expert evidence and the police investigation.
