RAAF Base Tindal upgraded to support long-range surveillance drone operations

A new $350 million defence facility, designed to house a new age of uncrewed aircraft, has been unveiled in the Northern Territory. The Triton drones are based at Tindal Air Force base, just outside of Katherine. They are now moving beyond training operations and will begin gathering maritime intelligence across the Indo Pacific region.
