The Reserve Bank of Australia has put a pause on hikes, keeping the cash rate steady at 4.35 per cent after three consecutive rises this year. RBA governor Michele Bullock has warned that inflation remains stubbornly high and has left open the prospect of increasing rates again to curb unemployment.
