RBA lifts official cash rate to 1.35 per cent

The Reserve Bank has done what many predicted, lifting the official cash rate 50 basis points to 1.35 per cent as inflation continues to rise. The move will put more pressure on already strained household budgets with the Treasurer warning things will continue to worsen over the coming months.
