The President of Palau Surangel Whipps Jr. has told SBS he backs Australia's proposal to host the UN's climate conference next year, stressing the importance of bringing focus to the Pacific. It follows comments from Opposition Leader Peter Dutton last week, where he described the bid as "madness", and something he would not support.
