The Federal Government's signature climate bill has this afternoon cleared through the Senate, putting the nation on a path towards net-zero. The legislation passed with the support of the Greens and key crossbenchers, despite calls for more ambitious targets. Ultimately, their backing paved the way for Labor's 43 per cent emissions reduction by 2030, and net- zero by 2050 targets to be signed into law.
