Senator Payman regaining grassroots support after Labor defection

It's been over four weeks since independent Senator Fatima Payman left the Labor Party after crossing the floor in support of Palestinian statehood. Since severing ties with the party, the Western Australian senator has committed to remaining fully independent, vowing to stand up for what matters to her constituents.
