Shorter periods of cool temperatures hamper reef recovery from coral bleaching

New research has found that even during traditionally cooler weather patterns, mass bleaching in the Great Barrier Reef is occurring. It is causing great alarm for the world’s biggest coral reef system among climate watchers. But they stress, that reversing damage is not too late.
