Solomon Islands PM pledges to reset ties with Australia

Australia and the Solomon Islands are set to sign a major treaty by the end of this year. The announcement followed talks between Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and his counterpart Matthew Wale, who travelled to Canberra for his first international visit. The Pacific nation’s new leader has also committed to review a controversial secret deal struck with China in 2022.
