Surf Life Saving issues swim safety warning for the summer holidays

Australians are being encouraged to plan ahead to stay safe in the surf and on the water this summer, as crowds flock to beaches and waterways over the Christmas-New Year break. With reports showing New Year's Day to be one of the highest risk days of the year for coastal drowning deaths, emergency services are reminding everyone to make safe decisions and look out for each other.
