Telstra to slash close to 10 per cent of its workforce

Telstra is cutting 2,800 jobs by the end of the year, saying the move is necessary to remain competitive. The restructure will see almost 3,000 jobs cut from its big business arm - but the telco insists retail customers won't be impacted.
