Traditional Owners set to operate WA desalination plant

Traditional Owners in Western Australia's Pilbara region have signed an agreement to buy a $1.1 billion desalination plant. Currently owned by the state government and mining giant Rio Tinto, Yindjibarndi Water is set to acquire the facility in the mining town of Dampier. It's one of Australia's first major pieces of essential water infrastructure to be owned and operated by a First Nations company.
