Tropical Storm Elsa batters Cuba, on track to Florida

Heavy rain and fierce winds gripped Cuba's south-central coast as Tropical Storm Elsa made landfall on the island. Cuba's Meteorology Institute said Elsa, which had previously battered parts of Barbados, St. Lucia, Haiti, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic, was moving northwest at 22 km per hour.
