Water safety awareness among multicultural communities key to preventing drowning deaths

Emergency crews are searching for an 18-year-old swimmer, missing on the New South Wales Mid North Coast. It comes as Royal Surf Life Saving Australia launches a multicultural swim campaign for the fifth year in a row, aimed at educating Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities about swim safety. Data shows that people born overseas make up one-third of drowning deaths.
