Whale sculpture catches derailed train

An elevated tram ran past the end of its tracks in Rotterdam and nearly plunged 10 meters down off the end of a pier -- but instead came to rest delicately on the tail of a whale statue. No one was injured. The conductor emerged shocked but unharmed and there were no passengers on the tram. By coincidence, the statue is called "Saved by a Whale's Tale".
