Why NSW is seeing huge swarms of endangered moths

Masses of moths have appeared across Sydney and the south coast of New South Wales in recent days. Social media has been flooded with videos of large gatherings of moths across NSW as native Bogong Moths make their annual pilgrimage to the cooler southern alpine region. The moths were devastated by droughts leading up to the Black Summer bushfires, but experts say this year's sightings are a hopeful sign of recovery and an indicator that nature can bounce back under the right conditions.
