AiGroup says unionists are holding Australian families to ransom by disrupting the flow of essential items to supermarket shelves ahead of Christmas, when many are already struggling with soaring costs of living. Woolworths is also putting a figure on the dispute, telling the ASX that Australian food sales have been negatively impacted by around 50- million dollars so far, with further impact to sales expected. Unions want to see a commitment to ease what they're calling 'unsafe work practises.'
