World first inquiry into birth trauma reveals racism and discrimination

A New South Wales parliamentary inquiry into birth trauma has heard evidence of systemic racism and discrimination within maternity care. The world first inquiry heard from thousands of women and has now made 43 recommendations, including universal access to midwifery continuity of care in public hospitals.
