Skipper Simon Mannering has implored the Warriors to toughen up mentally after dropping their guard against Brisbane.
A three-game winning streak was halted when the Kiwi NRL outfit was unable to make the most of an early 12-0 lead at Suncorp Stadium.
The Warriors crossed twice in the opening nine minutes but coach Andrew McFadden admitted it all came too easy.
Mannering lamented that the Broncos were more desperate and exposed a lack of grit when the going got tough.
"We started very good and things we practised were working and as soon as we had a bit of pressure on ourselves we didn't handle it too well," the New Zealand back-rower said.
"One of our weak points is falling in and out of games and it's something we have to sort out very quickly."
Warriors teams have traditionally struggled with inconsistency and Mannering doesn't want to see this outfit suffer the same concentration lapses.
"A good indication of that was when the off-load hit the ground and we stood and watched and they created a try out of nothing," he said of Dale Copley's turning-point try in the second half.
"I guess it's easy to be on your game when you have momentum and everything is going your way but when it starts going against you and starts getting tough that's when you have to start doing the little things right."
The loss of centre Konrad Hurrell to a head knock was costly as Copley scored two tries in his absence.
Hurrell is also in doubt for next Sunday's home clash against Manly after being put on report for a shoulder charge on Andrew McCullough.
The shining light for the Warriors was the continued good form of star fullback Sam Tomkins who overcame a hip-flexor problem to be their best player.
