· These nations have met four times. Australia won once, Denmark twice and there was one draw.

· Australia and Denmark were also drawn together in the 2018 World Cup group stage. These nations drew 1-1 in Samara on 21 June 2018. Christian Eriksen (7') put Denmark in front and Mile Jedinak (38' penalty) equalised for Australia.

· Australia's only victory against Denmark was a 1-0 triumph in a friendly fixture in Roodepoort, South Africa on 1 June 2010. Josh Kennedy (71') scored the only goal.

· Denmark beat Australia in two friendlies: 3-1 in London in 2007 and 2-0 in Copenhagen in 2012.

· Australia won only one World Cup match against UEFA opposition (W1-D2-L8), a 2-1 win versus Serbia in the 2010 group stage.

· Denmark have a W1-D1-L1 record against teams from the Asian Football Confederation at the World Cup (all group stage): 1-0 win against Saudi Arabia (1998), 3-1 loss against Japan (2010) and that 1-1 draw versus Australia (2018).

· With Joel King (OB) and Mathew Ryan (FC København) there are as many players in the Australian squad who represent a Danish club as in the squad of Denmark. Ryan is teammates with Andreas Cornelius at København and Daniel Wass plays for Brøndby.
