From heartbreak in Belgium to the looming chaos of cycling’s biggest cobbled Monuments, the Spring Classics are hitting full throttle — with drama, comebacks, and massive showdowns just days away.

Filippo Ganna stunned Wout van Aert in a last-gasp sprint to win Dwars door Vlaanderen, capping a chaotic race that saw crashes and mechanicals, while Marlen Reusser completed a remarkable comeback victory in the women’s event. Van Aert was left ruing another near-miss after a long solo effort.

Attention now shifts to the Tour of Flanders this Sunday, with a stacked field including Pogačar, van der Poel, Evenepoel and van Aert in the men’s race, and Kopecky, Vollering and Longo Borghini headlining the women’s showdown. Australian fans can catch all the action live on SBS.

Looking ahead, Paris-Roubaix on April 12 promises brutal racing, with longer cobbled sectors and history on the line — van der Poel chasing a fourth win and Pogačar targeting another Monument, while the women’s race features its toughest pavé test yet.
