From a summit showdown in Oman to tougher cobbles at Roubaix and a stacked UAE Tour ahead, it’s been a busy week across the pro peloton. Here’s what you need to know.

From Oman to Roubaix and the UAE, it’s been a big week in cycling. Christian Scaroni powered to stage and overall victory at the Tour of Oman with a late attack on Jebel al Akhdhar, giving XDS Astana a strong early-season win. The 2026 routes for Paris Roubaix and Paris-Roubaix Femmes have been toughened, with revised cobbled sectors and three new sections for the women designed to encourage aggressive racing from the start. All eyes now turn to the UAE Tour, where Jonas Vingegaard is absent as he targets a Giro–Tour double, leaving Remco Evenepoel, UAE Team Emirates XRG’s Isaac del Toro, and sprinter Jonathan Milan to animate the seven-stage race from February 16 to 22.
