Küng beat the clock, Mas faces the mountains, and Montréal awaits the world’s best.

Stefan Küng edged Callum Thornley by just 2.27 seconds to win the Vuelta’s Stage 18 time trial, while Enric Mas kept the red jersey.

Primož Roglič now trails Mas by 1:37, with two brutal mountain stages left to overturn the race.

Once the Vuelta finishes, attention turns to Montréal and the battle for cycling’s rainbow jerseys.
