The Emerging Writers' Competition has been created to support the discovery and development of talent and to contribute to greater diversity in Australian storytelling.

With a prize pool of $10,000 and the chance to be included in an anthology published by Hardie Grant, we hope the competition will help kickstart the career of Australia's future storytellers. As such, the competition is open to Australian citizens, residents, and those currently living in Australia who are aged 18 and over.

(For a full list of eligibility requirements please read our Frequently Asked Questions.)
