As two-day hangovers slowly lift around the city of Sydney, stories from last weekend's Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras are starting to emerge - but none have captured the hearts of social media users quite like the tale of Hannah in the pink wig at Manning Bar.
It all began when party-goer Georgie Slater, who had spent the night at Manning Bar's Heaps Gay party, took to social media, looking for a perfect stranger.
"If you wore a pink wig last night and your name was Hannah and you held my hand at Manning Bar to help me track down an exit please let me know as I love you," Slater tweeted.
She added: "No further questions at this time."
And because our lives are full of bad news and misery, Twitter users were quick to latch onto the feel-good story of community love - with Slater's original tweet being liked over 2,500 times and shared across social media platforms, all in the hope of tracking Hannah - the guardian angel in the pink wig - down.
In a further tweet, Slater explained that she'd become panicked at the Mardi Gras event, unable to find her way out of the building.
"I was trying to find an exit and everyone was being super unhelpful and she appears from nowhere, grabs my hand and navigates us through the dance floor to the exit," she tweeted, labelling Hannah "a guardian angel."
"Maybe the real Hannah is the friendships we made along the way," one follower mused.
"#WeLoveHannah," another added.
