The gay gods are smiling down on the internet today, with a new Vanity Fair photo shoot featuring Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph conjuring up some major lesbian energy.
Doing press for their new comedy, Wine Country, the friends and colleagues have sent queer hearts racing with their soft-butch-meets-femme country-wedding-glam spread, which accompanies a feature interview by Joy Press.
"I had my doubts that Poehler and Rudolph would be as delightful in person as onscreen, but their affection for each other was super evident," Press tweeted following the interview.
She added: "As I was walking out the door, I heard Amy fussing over Maya: I should have fed you, do you want something to eat?"
Set to be released internationally on Netflix in May, Wine Country is directed and produced by Poehler, inspired by a real-life vacation she shared with Rudolph and other members of the Saturday Night Live cast.
Aside from Poehler and Rudolph, the film stars Rachel Dratch, Ana Gasteyer, Paula Pell, Emily Spivey, and Tina Fey.
