The new trailer for Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody doesn't shy away from addressing the Queen front-man's sexuality and battle with AIDS.

An earlier trailer for the film sparked criticism from fans, some of whom expressed concern that the film might shy away from Mercury's bisexuality.

While it's uncertain how far into Mercury's battle with AIDS the film will delve, the new preview suggests that it's definitely touched on.

When a supporting character in the film's trailer says, “I just need a bit of time,” Rami Malek, who plays Mercury, is seen responding with: “What if I don’t have time?”

Mercury only publicly addressed his diagnosis with AIDS 24 hours before he died in 1991, following intense media speculation and scrutiny.

In another scene depicted in the film's trailer, Malek cries: “Roger, there’s only room in this band for one hysterical queen!"

The film is set for a UK release in October.
