ABBA fans were sent into a long-awaited frenzy over the weekend, with the iconic Swedish band announcing that all four original members would be reuniting to release new music later this year.
For the first time in over 35 years, Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad will be coming together to record two new songs, one of which is titled “I Still Have Faith In You”.
Work on the new songs was an "unexpected consequence" of the band collaborating on an upcoming TV special, set to be aired on NBC and the BBC in December.
“We all four felt that, after some 35 years, it could be fun to join forces again and go into the recording studio. So we did," the band wrote in an Instagram post.
"And it was like time had stood still and that we only had been away on a short holiday. An extremely joyful experience!”
The news comes ahead of next month's Eurovision Song Contest, which ABBA won back in 1974 with their performance of hit song "Waterloo".
Jessica Mauboy will be competing in Eurovision for Australia this year, following Dami Im and Guy Sebastian.
