The artists of Eurovision 2017: Robin Bengtsson – “I Can’t Go On” (Sweden)

He's got the looks, but has he got the song to give his country yet another victory?

Dangerously handsome and with swagger that would make Justin Timberlake blush, Robin Bengtsson will open the contest this year for the Eurovision powerhouse that is Sweden. Bengtsson won his spot via the most competitive of all national selection contests: Melodifestivalen. And his victory is not without its detractors, with many suggesting the Swedish competition contained better songs.

Did the synchronised dancing on treadmills get his high-energy pop song over the line? Was it that devilishly cheeky extreme close-up? Or could it have been the hit team behind the composition of “I Can’t Go On”?

Former Swedish Idol contestant and motorcross rider Bengtsson will need to harness every trick at his disposal as it’s not out of the question that he could just win the whole shebang. Top three is guaranteed.
