This is hoops good! Serbia has a solid track record at Eurovision and Tijana Bogićević’s “In Too Deep” will attempt to continue that success. This effort is reminiscent of the Maltese entry from 2016, “Walk on Water”, which was a success with both the voting public and the jurors.
Bogićević is no stranger to Eurovision, either - and, like Israel's IMRI, has graduated from backing singer to main performer. Having shimmied her way with Nina on “Caroban” in 2011, she will need to furiously swim and swing her way through her three minutes onstage if she’s to be remembered come the voting window.
With a chorus that echoes Katy Perry’s “Firework” “In Too Deep” should be rescued from drowning and make it to the grand final.
