Arab Foundation of London and Regent’s University awarded Raghida Dergham with the Arab Woman Award for 2017 in London for her achievements in Journalism.


Raghida Dergham is a Lebanese-American journalist and a political analyst. She is also a columnist for world-renowned newspapers such as the Huffington Post and Arab News. Raghida is also the founder of Beirut Institute.

This is not the first time that Raghida is recognized for her hard work and accomplishments. In 2011, she was among 100 Most Powerful Arab Women according to Arabian Business. She was ranked 42nd.

 SBS Arabic24 spoke to the Ms Dergham in London.

She called for the empowerment of Arab women so they can break the glass-ceiling and participate fully in the Arab society.
